Bronzie 'Got Your Back' Review

It’s fair to say we’ve not had much of a summer here in the UK so far… but who needs those glorious rays of sunshine when we can just create our own glow? Well, for those of you who are partial to a bit of bottled sun, I’ve made an amazing discovery that’s going to make your tanning life SO much easier – let me introduce you to my friend Bronzie. The world’s first BACK and body tanning mitt!

I do a little jump for joy when I discover products created by experts within the world of beauty, so you can imagine my excitement when I heard that Bronzie had been created by two industry leading tan experts who regularly spend their days getting A-Listers red carpet bronzed.

Based on first impressions, I’m excited! I was instantly drawn to the white and gold metallic packaging, very on trend! I didn’t think it was possible to fall in love with a tanning mitt’s appearance, but visually it’s on point with its super luxe vibe.

Inside you’ll find a step by step guide, don't chuck this out - it’s actually really helpful.

The mitt itself is made from velour - a plush fabric similar to velvet, think white company cashmere blankets - yes, it’s really that soft!

I’m impressed with the protective film inside each mitt, it appears strong and well made meaning stained finger tips should be a thing of the past.

I found it quite difficult to actually bring myself to rub in the tan, how could I destroy this beautiful creation? Luckily it’s washing machine friendly!

Bronzie stretches to enable us to access all areas, so finally we can fly solo without the need of support from someone else.

Have a play around with the mitt before applying your chosen self tan - as a novice, It took me a couple of attempts to master the art of 360 degree tanning.

You will need to figure out how to use this comfortably and to find a ‘system’ that works for you. Don't worry, you’ll soon get the hang of it and once you start, you won’t want to stop!

I am so pleased Bronzie ‘Got MY Back’, this has revolutionised my weekly tan routine. Finally my back can match the rest of my body, it’s been a shade of ‘Casper’ for far too long.

Easy to use, great results, packaged to sheer perfection and under twenty pounds - It’s a massive thumbs up from me!

Bronzie retails at £14.99 and is available online now. Happy tanning!

MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics 2017 Collection

Last week I heard the news about MAC’s ridiculously cool collaboration being released next January, which is set to be one of their largest collections yet!

The #MACMakeupArtCosmetics is a collaboration of three absolute makeup legends; James Kaliardos, Diane Kendal and Kabuki who have joined forces with MAC to launch the collection. The trio have worked with MAC for many years so it was only a matter of time before MAC collaborated with them on their own collections!

So what do we know about the collection so far? Well, it’s going to be huge – literally! It will consist of a whopping 50 products for the eyes, lips and face. The collection will reflect each of the artist’s super signature style and we can expect a whole host of lipsticks, glosses, eyeliners….. the list goes on! This is also the first time that MAC has collaborated with independent makeup artists to create a collection, so it’s very, very exciting!

James Kaliardos
James is a world-renowned makeup artist whose work can be seen in Vogue and Allure to name just a few. He’s known for creating some incredibly impressive runway looks for the likes of Balenciaga, Chanel and Versace and has worked with some pretty cool people that you MAY have heard of before - Angelina Jolie, Beyonce, Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Tyra Banks, SJP… OK, so pretty much any ‘A’ list celebrity you can think of.. What a life!

So James’ contribution to the collection will be lipstick and glosses. He’s updated some his favourites from MAC’s archive of colours, for both dark and light skin and said “I want every woman using my products to feel beautiful and confident by being able to perfect her look in an easy-to-use way”.

Diane Kendal
Diane Kendal is the second artist to make up the collaboration! British-born but now living the dream in New York, her work has appeared across a range of media including advertising campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabanna and Tom Ford.

Diane shared the details of the collection on Instagram which includes a cream colour palette and a strobing stick. Inspired by the SUPER glam 1970’s, she states that her collection is all about having fun and is the perfect solution to sexy summer nights. Diane is excited to be collaborating with James and Kabuki and said “we all have our own distinct styles which will compliment and show case the collection to its fullest”.

The third and final artist to make up this legendary trio is Kabuki. Again, British-born but known all over the world, Kabuki has worked on European runways and was scouted to establish the make-up looks for Sex and The City superstars; SJP, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis..(What about Kim???). He’s also worked with global names such as Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani.. Wow!

His collection consists of the Kabuki Magic Spring Summer 2017 Eyeshadow Palette and a blusher-bronzer duo. He said “MAC gave me complete freedom with this collection and turned my wish list into reality. Whether you’re a make-up artist or if you just like getting dolled up, I think you will love the colours, textures and long-lasting wearability of these products”.

The whole collection will be launched in both the US and across Europe in January 2017, so make sure this is at the very top of your Christmas list guys!
