NEW Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Foundation!

Get a Lauder this! This summer we’ll see a brand new Double Wear product heading our way – the Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick Foundation from Estee Lauder.

This easy to use foundation has a built-in cushion tip, so once you’ve dispensed the product you can blend straight into the skin. The Nude Cushion Stick will come in 20 popular double wear shades and is rumoured to last for up to 8 hours (Which is pretty sh*t, don't you think? That's not double wear!)

Made up of hydrating and lightweight formulas, the stick is supposed to instantly reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles!

Cushion compacts, extremely popular in South Korean makeup, is starting to become widely used in the UK and it seems that Estee Lauder have jumped right on the bandwagon. We saw the Korean-style cushion in the Double Wear Makeup To Go and now on their latest offering.

So what are the ingredients, you ask? The foundation is made up of a blend of lipids and butters to create an ultra-natural look. It also includes Sodium Hyaluronate with plant and fruit extracts to hold in moisture. The Nude Cushion stick will offer a radiant finish with its Gold and South Sea Pearl-based mineral.

I'm most excited about the scent, I've heard its a fresh Jasmine and Rose - my two favourites! Lets hope it smells as good as it sounds.

What’s really great about this product is that our frustrations have been taken in to consideration with the design. It has a detachable applicator to allow for easy cleaning. The stick will also reduce in size as you use the foundation, so you can see when you’re running low!

The new Double Wear Nude Cushion Stick will be priced at £28 and is due to be launched around June / July - I'll keep you posted.

The New Day, Front Page Feature!

Wow, what a week!

Yesterday I was featured on the FRONT page of national newspaper, The New Day. Not only did I make the front cover, we had a double page all about Men and Makeup!

When I started my mission to prove make-up is genderless just 12 months ago, never in my wildest dreams did I expect to one day become front page news.

My work and media presence has grown at such a rapid rate, truly surpassed my expectations.

To be a voice for the thousands of men wanting to see these changes take place truly means the world!

I really believe this is one of the last gender taboos that together, we can completely destroy. 

The aim, making a huge change for future generations. One day, we'll look back and think 'I can't believe that was EVER an issue!'.

Don't be bound to ancient stereotypes any longer, be you and be happy.

MAC bring the 90’s back to life with the Good Luck Troll Dolls Collection.

So when we look back at the 90’s we’re likely to immediately think of quirky fashion trends - jelly sandals, crimped hair in scrunchies, over-plucked brows and glossy lips with glittery eyeshadow. This aside, the 90’s were pretty epic. We saw the birth of The Spice Girls. We repeatedly watched Titanic in the cinema week after week. We experienced the cultural phenomenon of the ‘Rachel Green’ hairstyle but one of the wackiest events of the decade has to be the revival of a pretty cool (but peculiar) doll, the Troll!

If you missed out on this craze then fear not, as MAC are taking us right back to the 90’s with the launch of their troll-inspired ‘Good Luck Trolls’ Collection! MAC haven’t released too much information about the collection just yet, but you can expect an extremely vibrant range of lipsticks, glosses, brushes and shadows. With prices starting from £16, the collection is set to reminisce the iconic bold colours of troll doll hair including lime yellow, blue and frosted hot pink. They’ve also been a little creative with the product names which will include; Bubble Butt; Can’t be Tamed; Paradisco and Twerkquoise.

The special makeup range has been created to celebrate the movie ‘Good Luck Trolls’ starring Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, James Corden and Gwen Stefani, due to be released in November.

You have plenty of time to perfect your 90's style before then though as the collection will be available online from 28th July and in stores on August 4th.

Alice Through The Looking Glass Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette & Lipsticks!

I have some really exciting, BREAKING NEWS!! Following on from the success of their most iconic palette, the Alice in Wonderland Book of Shadows, Urban decay have once again collaborated with Disney to create a sequel, the Alice Through The Looking Glass Collection!

The collection consists of an Eyeshadow Palette and five, yes FIVE limited-edition shades of lipstick, all inspired by Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass which will reunite the all-star cast including Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter.

The pop-up eyeshadow palette, inspired by the new film release of Alice Through the Looking Glass, is made up of 20 all-new shades and reflects characters from the film, from Alice’s softer tones to the Mad Hatter’s bright and bonkers shades. The colours have been arranged into columns by character and placed in a super-attractive and eye catching palette, detailed with movie quotes and kaleidoscopic artwork woven out of flowers and butterflies. 

The 20 new shades have all been individually crafted and thoughtfully named, including film favourites such as Dormouse, Hatter and of course Looking Glass. Urban Decay have continued experimenting and this palette really offers the opportunity to be a little creative with the colours, you can match up the columns to steal the look of a character or you could mix then up to create something brand new for your very own tea party! 

Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipsticks

The Lipstick shades follow a similar trend to the Eyeshadow Palette and are based on our favourite characters from the film; Alice, Mad Hatter, Mirana (the White Queen), Iracebeth (the Red Queen) and Time (a part human, part clock creature!). Match up the lipsticks with the eyeshadows and you can have a bunch of fun recreating all of the looks from the film!

Again, the packaging is inspired by the film and oozes playfulness which will really stand out on your dressing table. You need to be quick though as these are limited edition shades made exclusively for the collection - once they’re gone, they’re gone for good!

The collection will be released Nationwide on Thursday 5 May, so if you play your cards right you'll have nailed your brand new look ahead of the movie release on the 27th! The Eyeshadow palette will retail at £45.00, with the Lipstick shades at a very reasonable £16.00. If you've ever typed a beauty query into YouTube, then you'd be familiar with the scene: A thin, pretty, fair-skinned teenager talks to the camera from the edge of her bed, testing blushers and lipsticks piece by piece. She takes you through each product in her tutorial, chatting casually as though she's your friend, sister, or behind the counter at your local department store.

Until now, beauty blogs have peddled a rather singular vision, but more and more makeup enthusiasts are taking to YouTube to change that. Across ages, sexes, genders and cultural divides, bloggers are extending their influence and changing the face of the beauty industry, making it a more inclusive space. Because when mainstream advertising pretends you don't exist, you have to look harder for your sources of inspiration.



Kylie Jenner Metal Matte Liquid Lipsticks

Introducing Metal Matte lipsticks! Matte and shimmery, this is a total game-changer.

The new line which includes three shades; Reign, King K and Heir, was inspired by Coachella, a Californian music festival.

Kylie, best known for appearing on reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, was named, along with her sisters, in ‘The 25 most influential teens of 2014’ for their considerable influence among teens on social media. So it’s only natural that the 18 year old took to social media to tease fans about her new line. She revealed her lipsticks with a Snapchat post “My new METAL MATTE LIPSTICKS for Coachella dropping soon”.

It’s not all glitz and glamour though. Whilst millions of people would kill to live the life of Kylie Jenner, has she become a victim of her own success? In an interview with AdWeek she commented on the pressures of fame saying “I feel like people want to see me have a cool hair colour and dress a certain way and have pretty makeup and heels. If they see me in public, they would expect me to look like that… it’s also exhausting for everyday life.” Poor Kylie!

Although a release date hasn't yet been announced, it's likely to be fairly soon as Coachella kick off this coming Friday! Keep your eyes peeled and your credit cards close as it’s likely these products will get snatched up fast!

So April is here which means Jo Malone’s new Rare Tea Collection will be released any minute now! I’m super excited about this collection which is made up of six unique colognes, each carefully hand selected and created with such detail from around the world! 
Moving away from anything you’ve seen before, this is a huge moment for Jo Malone with the Rare Teas collection showing a whole new side to the brand, by delivering a larger bottle size of 175ml with a more premium price of £240. 
Inspired from Japanese foothills to China to the Himalayas, this is an industry first in the way the tea has been infused straight from the leaf into refined fragrances. Rare Teas are all about craftsmanship, purity, provenance and ritual. Unlike mass-produced teas, rare teas are grown in small quantities, picked by hand and harvested using traditional, time honoured methods. The smoothest of all the fine Japanese Sencha teas and infused for 22 hours, the Jade Leaf Tea fragrance is a crisp and invigorating rare tea infusion made up of Seasame, Lentisk (a Pine-like resin), Mate Leaf & Pomelo.
Midnight Black TeaDeeply seductive, Intrinsically exotic

Jo Malone Summer Launches: Everything you need to know!

As you all know I’m a huge, huge fan of Jo Malone so I’m super excited to be able to share details on their upcoming launches for summer 2016. A number of new products are hitting stores and will also be available to purchase online from May! So let’s have a look at what they have planned…
Jo Malone London’s newest blossom, Nashi Blossom Cologne will be available for a limited time only! Made up of Succulent pear, voluptuous rose and white floral Nashi blossom, this cologne is for both women and men and is just what you need to get you in the mood for summer! The bottle design is very playful and unique - inspired by the nashi flower! You don’t have long to wait now as this is the first of the new products to be launched and can be purchased from next month, costing £44 for the 30ml and £89 for the 100ml.
June will see the launch of two more products! Firstly, the Black Cedarwood and Juniper Cologne which is more of a masculine, modern, urban and seductive fragrance and includes notes of cumin and chilli against the ‘mysterious’ scent of juniper, I’m intrigued! You can pick these up for a slightly cheaper price of £42 for 30ml and £86 for 100ml.
The second product to be launched in June is the Marthe Armitage Collaboration which is made up of 4 pieces, exclusively designed for Jo Malone by Chiswick-based, British wallpaper artist, Marthe Armitage. The pieces making up the collection are; 
Red Roses Scented Drawer Liners, decorated with rambling Red Roses
Green Tomato Leaf Home Candle, Green, leafy and full of sunshine on a Summer Afternoon
Nectarine Blossom & Honey Glass Decanter Bath Oil, Sweet and delightfully playful as the summer breeze
Soap Collection, consisting of four wrapped soaps; Verdant Blackberry & Bay, golden English Pear & Freesia, zesty Lime Basil & Mandarin and enigmatic Pomegranate Noir. All uniquely presented in a special Jo Malone London box, decorated with Marthe Armitage’s Summer Afternoon design.
Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more exciting, July will be complete with the new Cologne Intense Body Crèmes and the Peony & Moss Charity Candle. The body crèmes come in Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, Tuberose Angelica, Velvet Rose & Oud and Oud & Bergamot. More information on these will be available shortly.

MannyMUA collaborates with Ofra Cosmetics

What a week it's been for MannyMUA, first he hits one million subscribers on YouTube and now he announces he will be releasing 3 NEW liquid lipsticks in collaboration with Ofra Cosmetics.
From top to bottom, we have Aries, Charmed and Hypno.

Most fans were absolutely delighted, however some sadly felt the range lacked originality, commenting that the shades released were far too similar in tone. 

Manny hit back on snapchat and assured followers that the shades were not at all similar and showed new swatches which proved the shades were in fact dramatically different.

Personally, based on first impressions - I think the range looks sensational!
I heard through the grapevine that these will be available to purchase both individually and in a set.

The liquid lipsticks are due to hit the shelves this month, although no date has been confirmed as of yet.

Kelly Rowland To Launch A Makeup Collection

Superstar Kelly Rowland has announced that she is set to launch a makeup line for women with darker skin tones. The Destiny’s Child legend’s career has gone from strength to strength over the years and now she’s turning her attention to make up.
Kelly was inspired to create a make-up range after the success of one of the world’s greatest supermodels. She told Essence “I think Iman has done a beautiful make-up line and I want to do the same”. She added “Definitely making sure we have our chocolate girls covered”. Kelly has often spoken out about her ‘chocolate skin’ and how she felt that dark skin had held her back. She once said in an interview with Nubian Planet “I went through a period where I didn’t embrace my chocolate lifestyle. Just being a chocolate, lovely brown skin girl and being proud of that”. Kelly has recently spoken out to let the world know, like most women, that she’s had her own nightmares when it comes to finding her perfect shade of foundation. It’s likely she’ll draw upon her own experiences and ‘dilemmas’ (had to be done!) to help create her new line.
Kelly will be working alongside Sheika Daley, red carpet celebrity makeup artist from New York, and are rumoured to be kick-starting the launch of their new cosmetics range with lashes. Sheika started out in high fashion and editorials and then quickly moved into the entertainment industry where she’s worked with some huge names including Nicki Minaj, Serena Williams, Brandy and of course Kelly herself!

This isn’t the first time Kelly, 35, has worked on beauty lines as she previous concentrated on skincare as the 2014 spokesperson for Caress. She’s also had a hugely impressive career as a member of multiple Grammy Award-winning R&B band, Destiny’s Child, selling over 50 million records worldwide. Kelly then progressed as a solo artist and is due to release her fifth studio album in 2016. If this wasn’t enough, Kelly also became a household name as a film and TV actress, an author and popular judge on the X Factor. Is there no end to her talents? She certainly likes to work!

The release date of the range is yet to be announced, but could be set to join the big players in the makeup-for-darker-skin market including Iman Cosmetics, Black Opal, Black Up, MAC, Nars, Becca and Make Up For Ever. 



This coming Monday, MannyMUA will celebrate his 25th birthday. He had one wish and that was to reach 1 million subscribers in time for his special day.

Last night, in a series of Snapchat posts we saw Manny's wish come true.
As an audience, we were all hanging on the edge of our seats with our fingers crossed that the YouTube star would reach his goal.

The tired makeup artist didn't want to nap, through fear of missing the crucial second.

Gutierrez decided to periscope the magical moment LIVE, it was heart warming to watch, a real privilege. 
Manny was overwhelmed, 1 million people were supporting a boy doing makeup - against the social norm.

Like Manny, I'm a 1991 baby - seeing a male makeup artist of my generation achieve so much is beyond inspiring. 

Proof that the world is changing, and that makeup is genderless.

It really goes to show, you should always go after your dreams. No matter how unattainable you may think it is.

It's official - Kylie Jenner is releasing lip glosses!
The original lip kit sent the world into meltdown, it was an instant success and the full range sold out within a matter of minutes, resulting in kit's being sold on eBay for an unbelivable $10,000 - seriously crazy shit!

Kylie debuted her new additions in the form of a short film, think 90's pop music video meets Pulp Fiction. Very random!
Kylie's lips did the real talking, it was love at first glance. The advert could have been set in a farm with Jenner milking a cow, I would still be mesmerised!

So far the range consists of 3 shades, #So Cute, #Literally and #Like - I don't imagine it will be long before further shades are added.
The super-shiny glosses went on sale last night and you guessed it, they've already SOLD OUT!
